STEP 1: Clear the area around sprinkler head. 

STEP 2: If needed, carefully trim around the base opening so that the base fits over your sprinkler head.

Tip: you can place the protector base upside down to do a rough measure of the size of your sprinkler head.

STEP 3: Place the protector base feet side down over your sprinkler head and press firmly into the soil until the base is roughly level with your sprinkler head.

STEP 4: Line up the notches of the the circular top of the protector with the corresponding openings on the protector base and gently turn counterclockwise to secure the top to the protector base.

STEP 5: If desired, back fill area with soil/grass that was initially removed in STEP 1.
